A final clarification of an important recurring question! What happens to
PENDRAGONS older cats? Unlike many breeders who truly have "catteries,"
PENDRAGON does not continue to breed and breed individual cats until they grow old and
worn out. After a few litters, usually three or four, the females are spayed and placed in
loving pet homes. Admittedly, this is sometimes a wrench to the soul - for we love our
Tonkinese - but how much better for the cat!! Now we often hear strong admonition to this
practice: "How can you let a favorite cat go?" It is simple: any cat would be
much better off as someone's single beloved pet. There are exceptions to this rule! We
would not be human if there were not! PENDRAGON does have three well-fed, glossy neutered
males who meander the house, and often comment on our philosophy. Merlin Two, Magic and
Rufus are the Three Kings of the PENDRAGON household! |
